Prairie Wind & Silver Sage – Friends of Grasslands, is located in the Little Brick School House, a Municipal heritage property built in 1927. This school was built and designed by the Waterman Waterbury Company, which created many of the small schools in Saskatchewan.
Today, the Little Brick School House is home to Prairie Wind & Silver Sage, a busy Ecomuseum that serves as a gift shop, bookstore, art gallery, coffee bar and visitor centre.
PWSS works closely with the community of Val Marie and Grasslands National Park to provide interpretive services for visitors from across the world. The art gallery exhibits culturally and ecologically relevant work from local and regional artists. PWSS also hosts speaker series for authors and researchers who share their stories and results with the local community. Prairie Wind & Silver Sage is the place from which to explore, engage and envelop yourself in the Grasslands lifestyle.
Prairie Wind & Silver Sage is open seasonally at 100 Centre Street. For more information please visit pwss.org or call 306-298-4910
